As the title says, I'm stuck.
Stuck with deciding future career crap. Why?
My style. I already can't change that I'm going to be a future animator, but it's deciding what to animate. Usually when people think of the terms "animated story", they think of like, Disney cute-kiddy movies. And that's what industry I'll probably be headed in (in a previous entry you remember I got that scholarship from Dreamworks ffff still doesn't pay all of my college's tuition) But the thing is, I've been turning more and more towards realism.
And that's my problem. I was force-fed observational drawing throughout high school, so when it came to college, I was great at it. But then came the other end....non-observational drawing. Doodling. Your own style. I know people say to me that I have a style, but I really don't see where or how. It's just semi-realism (and I'm saying semi because I haven't reached realistic yet.) You don't see semi realism in Disney movies....but you
DO see them in Live Action movies. And in Illustrations.....but I'm not in the Illustration major, or have the money to switch to it to start all over (heck, I could even go for Game Art, since game these days are turning more realistic.) I know there's companies like Digital Domain that do movies like Transformers and Avatar, but your name in the credits doesn't really get much praise in my opinion....
.....NNHHGHGGH. I've been thinking about this crap for the past couple of months now, and it's been aggravating me and nagging me on what next step I should do. Should I try and continue to push my self to go realistic, or should I stop and try to start a new style? This is why I wanted you guys to read this. (Also, I know how you all love my game joke comics/ fanart, but I do those just for the lolz. Those don't really count as style-worthy in my opinion.)
....And hello, I cleaned.
